The painter of the frescoes exhibited inferior artistic skills, and yet the frescoes in general, both in terms of drawing manner and colours, are rather interesting. |
This church,
dedicated to St. George, is located about 30 km from Ohrid along the motorway Ohrid -
Kicevo. It was built during the time of the Ottoman Turks in the Balkans. The exact date
of its construction and fresco painting are not determined. However, the analyses suggest
that it was in the second half of the XV century. The architecture of the church is quite
similar to that of church Ss Constantine and Helen.
